UMW targets sales growth up to RM100mil for new Grantt lubricants

   UMW Grantt International Sdn Bhd (UMWG) is targeting sales growth of
   up to RM100 million over the next five years for the newly improved range
   of GRANTT lubricants.

   The brand, formerly known as GEP is moving beyond from its roots to
   become a premium lubricant provider under the new name, GRANTT. 
   GRANTT is an in-house brand that fully blended at UMW’s ISO9001:2008
   certified plant, with its quality management systems are meeting or exceeding
   international and local requirements. Being one of the few lubricant plants
   certified by ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the plant has a very stringent management
   system focusing on laboratories that demonstrates technical competencies of
   the company.  

UMW Engineering and Manufacturing Executive Director, Megat Shahrul Azmir, said the target was expected to be achieved through several phases of penetrating the Asia-Pacific markets.
“We are targeting China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia in our first phase of developing an export industry for the product.
 “Based on our experience in producing lubricants for more than 40years, we are not strangers in delivering the best quality to our consumers,” he told reporters here today.
 “We are also capable of producing 50 million liters per year in Malaysia and 50 million liters in China for all types of lubricating oil and we are confident that we can deliver what the market needs,” he said.
