KOTA KINABALU, 30 October 2022 – UMW GRANTT International Sdn. Bhd. (“UMW GRANTT), a wholly owned subsidiary of the UMW Group, is once again the Platinum Sponsor of Southeast Asia’s biggest extreme off-road event, the 30th Borneo Safari International Off-Road Challenge (“Borneo Safari”), marking its sixth year as the Official Performance Lubricants Partner for the event. After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the eight-day expedition will see 400 specially modified off-road vehicles and about 1,200 participants from various countries navigating the terrains of Kota Belud in Sabah.

Flagging-off the event held in front of the Sabah Tourism Board headquarters were YB Datuk Jafry Ariffin, Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister and YB Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Assistant Minister.

UMW GRANTT will be promoting its GRANTT Quasar Diesel Engine Oil, namely GRANTT Quasar SAE 10W-40 API CI-4 Synthetic Blend and GRANTT Quasar SAE 15W-40 API CI-4 Mineral (7-litres packs) as well as its other products at the event. UMW GRANTT corporate vehicles joining the convoy will be powered by GRANTT Quasar SAE 15W-40 API CI-4 Mineral Grade, which is a favourite amongst off-road enthusiasts.
